Do I need any experience to join?
Not at all. Our classes are designed to welcome complete beginners, and the step-by-step approach means you’ll never feel out of your depth. If you’ve painted before, you’ll find plenty to deepen your practice too.
What materials do I need?
Just a basic watercolour set, some paper, and a couple of brushes. Kat will guide you through everything at the start of each class, and there’s no pressure to buy expensive supplies before you begin.
Can I try before I commit to a membership?
Yes! Every new member gets a free 7-day trial of the Watercolour Wonder Membership. You can also browse our pay-as-you-go classes if you’d prefer to dip a brush in before diving deeper.
What if I fall behind or miss a few weeks?
There’s no falling behind at Shorelark. Every tutorial is available on demand, so you pick up exactly where you left off — on your schedule, not ours.
Who teaches the classes?
All classes are led by Kat Healy, a Scottish artist, community tutor, and folk singer-songwriter with a Master’s in Creative Writing. Her warm, narrative-led approach makes learning feel like a conversation rather than a lesson.
